Long Live The King

More than 200 years ago…
colonist settled on eastern shores,
some armed only with an idea:
that rulers of land should rule the land,
and let the people live free.

Looking back at it all…
they gained independence and freedom;
the former monarchy now a shell
of its once regal stature:
put in its place by common folk.

Looking back at it all…
we are losing our independence and freedom
to an out of control Congress –
and a President who once smoked dope!

Long Live the King.
